Game 7 – The Pressure Cooker

Game Overview

🏆 Game Winner: The team with the most points after the allocated time wins.

  • Points are scored by hitting through the zone corresponding to the delivery’s line (off-side, straight, or leg-side) or by taking wickets.

Equipment

  • 4 sets of wickets

  • 1 scoreboard

  • Cricket balls

  • 6 small cones (2 per zone)

Time Required

45–90 minutes

Participants

  • 2 players: 1v1 (2 innings)

  • 3 players: 1v1v1 (3 innings)

  • 4 players: 2v2 (2 innings)

  • 5 players: 2v1v2 (3 innings)

  • 6 players: 2v2v2 (3 innings)
    Max 6 players per net.

Batting

  • Change ends every 4 balls.

  • 1 point for hitting through the zone corresponding to the delivery’s line:

    • Off-side: Between point and cover (off-side deliveries)

    • Straight: Between mid-on and mid-off (straight deliveries)

    • Leg-side: Between square leg and mid-wicket (leg-side deliveries)

  • Missed calls (“yes”/“no”) = automatic dot ball.

Bowling

  • 2 points per wicket.

  • -1 point for wide/no-ball.

  • No appeal = no wicket

Fielding

  • 3 zones marked with cones: Off-side, Straight, Leg-side.

  • 1 wicketkeeper is in play.

  • Zones remain fixed throughout the innings.

Special Rules

  • Controversial balls are replayed.

  • Free hits and bouncers are not allowed.

  • Each team starts at 15 points.

  • LBW can only be given in front of the middle set of wickets.

  • In the event of a draw, play a deciding ball.
